Hey guys!

Can any of you recommend a low soap cleaning product that can be used on a floor. I have no idea what the floor is made of just that the product to be used has to be low soap.

im taking a guess, but I gather they dont want soapy products as have problems in the past, for example if you use a detergent on a floor it has the same affects as on carpets and if not extracted or rinsed wil leave the floor sticky, in a pub this is a disaster because this catalists with the bear as well, but not knowing what the floor is or how it is maintained it's difficult to resolve

but for example Flash low soap low foam less sticky
Floor maintainer low foam but contains waxs and emsilfiers (sticky unless buffed)

The best thing is 'less is more' the least cleaner product and more elboy grease the better

no idea what the floor is made of, some type of laminated product, but was only laid a couple of months ago and is in a hairdresser's salon!

We are using purely water at the moment, so I may well just use a cleaning liquid once a month just to keep on top of the grime build up and water the remaining once a week visit!

This is not strictly true. Do you know anything about 'surface tension' of water or 'suspension of dirt'?

Do a google search for 'surface tension' and you should see why detergents are needed to clean.

Dynax, no dertergents, enzymes etc and works a treat combined with microfibre flat mop method.

ok so the hotter the water the lower the surface tension, which makes it a better wetting agent. Soaps and detergents lower the water tnesion again. So if I have read it correctly (and I only scanned the site quickly so I may be wrong here) I can use a lower soap content cleaner (or foam, whichever word you wanna use), which will do the job as good as if not better than one that can be used with cold water.........such as the virasol multi-purpose cleaner I was using on the previously laid floor, although I shall add that I never used it with cold water myself, it was just an option available !!
