concentrate on your business, don't waste your time with courses etc.
your business is your s you don't need courses to tell you how to run it!
I don't think you need any distractions in all fairness m8 as you seem to change your plans like the weather.
You was selling up a few weeks ago.
before that hanging your pole up.
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014

Hello,

I have a BSc (Hons) in Business Studies.

I could have purchased two complete van setups with the money I spent at uni. Oh well.

Cheers,

I took a RSPH level 2 a couple of years ago.
Which means I'm a Pest Controller.
Did it to make some more dosh and to add a bit of variety to my life.
Not really window cleaning thing I know but I enjoy it.
Well most of it. Removed a pigeon nest the other week, smelly ain't the word.
 ;D
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence

ive a few qualification from city n guilds in landscaping levels 1 and 2
same in printing plus 2 qualifications for engineering courses in germany and italy.
done many a stupid course in management, even courses called ethnic courses, speak to how you expect to be spoken too.
time management, and many more worthless boring courses.
a few others in different things.
i hated courses and hated working in offices and hated being in charge of lots of people.
One of the reasons i ended up in window cleaning i think!

Dont take it the wrong way rich but i think your getting too easily distracted.
I think once you can run one business you can run any business. You can learn more from the practical then the theory.

You just need to focus on your goals instead of jumping from one idea to another. If you can envisage yourself or your business in the future you will be more likely to achieve these goals. By painting a picture you can work to make it a reality

I think you have achieved enough to take your business to the next level i just feel as though you may lack the confidence in yourself at present

Good luck

All i have is 9 GCSES A-Bs and 2 NVQS in science that i did at high school.
I didnt think of going onto further education because i was too smart ;D

I would think business management or business studies would be be an advantage in business but again its theory.
I think everything you could know about business you already know and have experience doing it.

If you want to go back and continue in education do it when you have built your empire and you can employ staff to look after your business while you put all your energy and focus into studying.

I did a hnd in business and finance, dont think its that relevant to a one man band.  I feel my retail management experience benefits my business more. Customer service is key in this game. Making the customer feel special is a skill, handling customer complaints and difficult customers benefits my business.

Richy....maybe i am not looking at the cleaning world from the same perspective as you,but the other day i was fighting your corner when you was talking about setting up a trad round for domestics.
Now maybe i am missing the point but do you HONESTLY believe that a degree in anything will benefit your ability to run a trad domestic round...maybe since then you have gone off on another tangent.....mate you need to really (imo) sit back take a breath and really think hard about what you want out of your business.
I used to be a lloyds underwriter many moons ago,i studied and passed the ACII exams that allowed me to move on in the insurance industry.
If you feel that a degree will allow you to move on in the cleaning world then go for it,but i have the feeling that after ten minutes of studying you will have already put plans into action for your business to move into another direction.
This is not a knock at you type of post,i can actually see my own past in some of the things that you seem to be doing, but my past has been wasted business wise because i didn't concentrate and set goals, dont make the same mistake mate, stick to a purpose and build on that.

I got a BA Hons in graphic design. It has helped me with my business no end.

May even go back to it at a professional level at some point.

Who knows...
