I'm picking up my brand new Vauxhall Vivaro on Monday and is pre ply-lined,for the Vivaro,Renault Traffic and Nissan Primstar drivers on here which tank do you use, upright or flat as I'm looking at getting a 650 litre one.
The other issue is the Protecka-kote paint,the van is already ply-lined,even the bottom so do you recommend I take it out and paint or paint over it,I've spent alot of my hard earned cash on this van so don't want to cut corners,I think I've answered my own question there but as for the tank I would be greatfull for your info,like will a 650 litre flat tank fit

ive fitted a 650lt upright tank in my vivaro after having  a500 flat,left me with more roomto get things in on the floor.


i did take ply out and paint the floor

Ihave upright 650 in my Vivaro. See profile pic. Set about a foot from bulk head to avoid diesel tank when fixing to chassis. Also leaves a nice space for cones and signs. Leaves lots of room for gear behind back doors. Hang my poles in roof. Never had a problem with van in 14 months. Good decision on Vivaro.

i have a new trafic 2900 swb which has been fitted with a 750 layflat with an optional 175l which can be added for the larger jobs, i have used white protectakote for th floor

I am getting the SWB model but am having trouble getting somebody to fit it ASAP,I live in Leatherhead in Surrey but I can strap it down for the time being but to be honest I don't like the idea,maybe I will stick to ladders until I get it done properly.
I have been looking at the frames for tanks that are bolted through the bulkhead,I have seen these on the "Full Clean Centre" website and are not far from me in Sutton but do you think the bulkhead on these vans are up to it.

yes i put in myself. it was quite easy really. but, i only had to move from old transit van, which had been fitted by purefreedom - good guys there. so all the hard work had been done. much safer than strapping. not sure bolting to bulk head would be too clever!??? i protekta coated straight onto metal floor too. i agree - drives like a car.

I would strap down until you get it bolted to the chassis but only half fill it.

That's excactly when a tank is at its most dangerous.....when its half full, when a tank is full up the water has no where to move within the tank unlike when it can move around within and create opposing forces.

I had a traffic good van had it installed professionaly bolted down but now got scudo ok van havnt had it bolted down but doesnt move as have it on a skid plate, Also have ply lined flooring so wouldnt waste money having it painted as had my traffic floor painted as was abit slippery when got abit wet .... I would always stick with ply also the plastic coating goes dirty and looks horrid after a while my opinion !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
