How about this?

I did a quote today for a small upholstery job (and got it).

I asked the lady where she heard of us and she said Thompson's (the book - a one liner).

She said, "nobody leaflets here anymore. I waited and waited for a leaflet but nobody put one through the door so I had to look myself"  !!!

She tried a 1/2 price guy in the local paper but had a row with him.

His upholstery price was £ 70.00 slashed to £ 40.00. His advert said "50% off special offer". She had argued that this should be 50% off the £40.00 but he would not budge!

I spent some time explaing things to her and walked out with a £ 70.00 job.
