Came across this gym carpet that I think is flocked flotex.  

Has anyone used encap bonnet on it or is extraction better?

I did a small corridor and it needed more encap putting down then I liked or the pad started to judder..

Got 300 sq m of it to do next week so any advice would be great?

Extraction works well followed by post bonneting.

Thanks, I read a lot about flooding, scrubbing then extracting.

Was thinking of putting a good bit of Encap down and bonneting it. Only got a short amount of time to do it in.

good amount of pre-spray

shampoo brush if you have it and give it a good scrub

bonnet off with microfibre pads but keep a spray bottle of as hot water as you can get to keep spraying in front of pad if it dries out.

Think will go with bonnet with sprayer directly in front. Plugs all over floor so need to be careful not to blow the gaff up

We did 2000m2 of it in a morning with 3 guys a few weeks ago.

This stuff was seriously mingin too. One area was a function bar. Used enzyme carpet shampoo with tlc and energiser on that area.

Good vac afterwards to get rid of all the hair we pulled out.

I used a rotary once on flotex and only once : rotary tried doing a cart wheel nearley broke me wrist and the kitchen plinth

Now i keep the trigger on and draw slow letting the water escape out the back and side of the wand.
then dry stroke.

I imagine a spinning tool would work well on flotex but have never tried it

You can also flood scrub it with a shampoo brush/white floor pad and use a wet vacuum to remove the slurry.

Use normal extraction detergent in the tank.

Treating it like a hard floor is best approach.

Another option if you have one is a Rotowash/Duplex/Multiwash type machine.
Its the only carpet that these systems perform well on as a standalone system imo.

With regard to the spinner I would be worried that too much pressure would cut lines in the carpet and there may be a difficulty getting uniform appearance. Like Mark I havent tried this method though and I dont have a sample here big enough to do a trial on.

I've done one with a slow speed rotary (actually an office job. The only time I've seen one) but it's not easy.

Dry Fusion will not even start to turn on Floatex due to too much resistance.
