« on: November 12, 2011, 09:28:36 am »
so ive got some pvc electrical tape for re applying the stop tape on my slx but how do you put it on?

i put a wrap and a quarter on like alex gardiner instructed, but then when i slid the section back in the clamp wont go past the new stop tape if you follow?

Take the clamp screw out, then put a screwdriver in the gap, where the screw was, turn the screwdriver to open the clamp, then slide the pole section in.
Hope that makes sense.

oh dear, are you over tightening them? ive learned they dont need to be "fully nipped up" just tight enough to hold the section!
