Hi ,

i need a template of a commercial contract that i can reword so it suites,

its a 4 monthly maintenance clean told them a one off would be x amount but they are happy to go for the 4 monthly maintenance which is cheaper but i told her if you cancel within 3 cleans ( in other words if she cancels me after the first clean its a one off so the difference will apply)

i just dont want to do one offs for the price of a maintenance clean and im not willing to take goodwill on larger commercial jobs so i will get them to sign something,no matter what.

its not a massive job maybe just 3 hours do you think its reasonable to get them to pay 50% via on-line banking for the first clean ? or just get them to sign a contract then invoice them and then issue them with a CCJ should they mess around and use one of those debt collectors mentioned on here? not only could they just cancel after the first clean they might try get away to not pay so you cant be too careful.

its funny mentioning CCJS before i even start the job lol 
but i hear these days u need to be carefull it its quite a largish building all the other commercials i do are no more then an hours work and others just half hour so never was really an issue if they messed around but this is like half a days work so it would be bad if they ripped me off.

oh by the way i refused to price it silly its been priced slightly more then domestic otherwise its not worth doing !

clean, invoice, get paid, t , his job is about trust, if you dont trust them, dont do it, there will be times when you dont get paid, but fortunatly most will pay

George its half a day how can i sue them with no contract i need to be safe! if it was domestic i would trust but commercial i dont know. if i should, smaller ones are fine but this job is semi largish , best to be safe.

thats fine mate, we do lots of commercial including some big accounts, always done it on trust, have been caught out before, but most are honest, sometimes have to wait for money, we have had solicitors in over unpaid accounts without contracts and still been paid (mostly), also as its only 4 monthly the most you would lose is about half a day, as if not paid presumably you wouldnt do again,

they can do it on invoices sent, + eaxh invoice can be charged at 8% + £40.00 per invoice outstanding, a recent one was a shop hadnt paid, said they had cancelled but we knew they hadnt, solicitors letter sent, a few calls and then they paid,

It doesn't like a big job ( 3 hours ) just do the job, contracts are made to be broken. You have the work, you start messing about with the terms you want and they may go get someone else.

thing is on those 3 hours i can do a load of domestic customers , im not bothered if i dont get it but i would ofc like it just dont want to be messed about after first clean or worse case non payment , they havnt been cleaned in over 2 years alarm bells are ringing.

im not so worryed just want to take every precaution for example had an £8 customer not want to pay cos she claimed she canceled (she didnt) that i can live with few mins of my life this is bigger.

cant be anything wrong with getting some sort of contract before clean sorted,

, great ill have the Contracts in the post next week, explained that that can cancel anytime but they will need to pay the difference of the one off . and just writen down the price etc just need somesort of template that i can edit or ill have to just word it my self.
