Why not carry a small step ladder? Four feet on the ground as opposed to two.
Besides which I have never rated A frame ladders....how can 3 points of contact be safer than a standard ladder with 4 points.

a step ladder must be the worst thing to clean from, what is the chances of finding a bit of ground flat and level enough for four feet never mind two

a falls a shocker, hope you feel better soon. i had a fall last year ,it woke me up and i think most people need waking up

i only allow a beer crate for downstairs work,no ladders . stretch on tiptoes or use an extension pole

I still use a single pointer A ladder usually to open a bolted gate or the odd bungalow.I've had a few falls from 1st floor windows.both times ladder slipped back and I landed on my heels.luckily I was fine.other windys not so lucky.I think it was dave morris who slipped on his pointer so your in good company!

Hope your on the mend.watch you don't trip looking up at windows when using the pole!I nearly have a few times!! ;D ;D

Agreed.  The Step ladder is the most dangerous ladder in the window cleaner's arsenal.

WFP? Perhaps thats why the ladder slipped, because the floor was soaked after you did the tops

Hi all...

Try these, very versatile and very stable.... Great when space is short and you need a bit of height to get an angle..
