Jim Neal the best thing about your post is at least you kept it short this time instead of one of your usual rants that is a page long but you still come across as a right smart arse its a simple question £166+vat for a 3stage lamb vac its over priced in my opinion when you can get a smilar vac from Cleansmart for £125+vat also having to pay £18+vat for a bracket to fit the vac is a joke.

Not to leap to Jims defence, he's a big boy and can handle himself! But he's got a point - your vac motors are an integral part of your setup - it doesn't make sense to faff around to save a few quid when if you lose half a days work when it goes pete tong you'd be worse off anyway.

Plus, I have to add that I don't think jim comes across as a smart arse, he's helped me and plenty others in the past with his experience - and bearing in mind that aint his job, I'm always grateful for whatever help I can get.

My 2c worth anyway.

£40 is not to be sniffed at, the problem lies when you're ordering from eBay etc and you don't know what your going to get from one transaction to the next, I think that's the point Jim was trying to make.

Very witty. Ignore any opinions that don't suit what you want to hear, and spend 3 days shopping to save an hours worth of wages. Great plan!

Cleansmart sell the 116859-13 1200w
Amtech the 117123-13 1500w high lift.
different spec entirely, hence price differential.

Accessory planet usually stocks the 117123-13
at £100.
http://www.ncsonline.co.uk/57_HP_Lamb_Vacuum_Motor_3_Stage
£89 + vat

Nobodies talking about cheaper motors, or dodgy fakes, merely
value for money.

In Amtechs defence i will say the motor will be with you ASAP.
You don't HAVE to buy a bracket, make one.

Those motors are the 6.6 motors 12236-18
as yet nobody knows whether these can be
used in a series arrangement, probably not as
Lamb Ametek don't like series setups any more.
The lift is less than the 117123s, but the CFMs
are approx' 40% more.
I can't be certain but i think Amtech are researching
them at the moment.
