Hi Wayne,
What size advert do you have and how much does it cost, if you don't mind me asking? Reason I ask, these guys were asking for £1200 per year, which I thought was a lot for a small publication.

I have a quarter page ad in full colour in the A5 magazine. It costs £70 a month inc VAT,I reckon I get about 4 to 5 jobs a month.Problem is therte are 2 other CC in it too although one is a Chem Dry and I can compete against his prices.

The mag has a good circulation of over 10000

I advertise in a local mag. It only goes out to 5000 homes in my own postcode area.

£88 per month for a full A5 page.

I've been in it every month for 2 years. Now that I've finally finished putting all my clients into cleaners mate, I can see that this advert has brought in £20,000 worth of work in those 2 years.

Very pleased with that sort of return  ;D
