Try TAS, not too bad !

I have an unopened Iris going cheap. It was bought about  6 months ago and has not even been out of the padded  envelope it came in. It cost over £200 and any reasonable offer would be accepted as I have no use for it after taking on a wages lady who only uses Sage.

Hi

Just to let you know that I can recommend Iris PAYE I have used this for years and find it simple to use and with unlimited employee numbers it is good value for money.

Just be aware that you do have pay yearly for your updates though.

i use iris, it's ok, simple enough to use. check out their website tho, cos when I registered on-line they provided a specific number relevant only to the software package bought by the registered user.

If you are going to take Gary up on his offer, I would check with Iris how easy it is to transfer the package over to your business. I had a glitch right at the beginning when my business was registered to Iris at Done and Dusted, when in fact the correct name is Don 'n' Dusted. The procedure to change just that one little bit from and to 'n' was a nightmare as I was told I would have to have a new software package with a new number. I didn't bother in the end and just carried on using Done and Dusted!

I think it cost me £180 odd.

Hi there,

I currently use a programme called Dosh  which is very easy to input figures and see balances.

They also have a programme called Dosh Invoice and Payroll which can all be linked up to Cask Book

Not Russa,

But when you give all your vat/paye/accounts to your accountant then he'll do a good deal, while he's saving me money and doing all my paye I'm out there getting new clients and earning more, thats good business

We do give all our work to our accountant, he recommended our wages lady who is not an accountant and she charges a damn sight more than that. You've got a bargain.

Hi ,

Like Fox i have used Iris payemaster for years, its simple to use and follow, the support is to an acceptable standard, no limits on employees and you can run more than one companie's payroll off one package.

Cheers Mark.

I was looking for suitable software for myself.  Inland Revenue provides few links to accounting software developers:

I have found two payroll solutions, which could probably named as “cheapest best quality”:

I use a company in wales called North West Payroll. They do all payroll associated duties including sending out all the payslips etc. Their minimum charge is 10 pounds per month. I wouldn't waste my time on software that will only need upgrading etc down the line. Your customers outsource their cleaning to you. Why not take a leaf out of their book  :)
