Advertising?
« on: November 20, 2005, 11:17:17 am »
hi guys,

i have just taken delivery of my latest advertising tool!  i have had a set of good quality pens in gift boxes made with my company name and details on it.  I plan to give one to all my customers (old and new)  the plan is that they will use this pen at home, work etc.  other people will pick up this pen ( as you do) and my name will be seen by many.

My question is has any one tried this?  dioes this kind of advertising work or have i just wasted my money?

I also have done the same with xmas cards to send to my commercial customers.

Kind Regards............Ian

they are good for Branding, but probably won't bring in oodles of work, i have considered it myself but can't find a decent supplier.

My last comp use too give out a pen, keyring, fridge magnet with every cutomer care pack.

Bit of an over kill, didnt seem to bring in loads of further work, but the custys love it

Still good to get your company logo out there what ever you do, I think this pays off in the long run, makes people familier with your name which in turn doesnt make you look like some cowboy, gives people confidence in who there investing in

have you tried giving away a free bottle of stain remover yet?
if not i think this may be a better idea as it has more relevance to what we do and they are more likely to know were it is if they need your number, pens have a habbit of getting lost

my supplier in sussex offers a branding service, its basically their product with your label on it. Try speaking to your local supplier.

On larger jobs i give away a prochem stain removal kit and put my own labels on it, custys love them.

saw some nice stain removers today, they are from Dry Fusion called Unbelievable spotter. Came in a nice size bottle, cost just over a quid.

you can put labels through your printer
