Hello lads, its my first wfp haloween and ive been thinking? Do customers expect us to get the egg off during the normal cleaning process? Because i reckon most would think thats what were paid for! Or DO U charge extra, due to time? (as i understand, its STILL a ladder and a blade job?) Ive got a fogwash, but ive heard that the heat will make it worse. What do you guys charge per window if uve got to get the ladders off? cheers M

dunno really, I have dumped all my tight ars* e customers that don't pay, so never had to do it really, if they pay me they will give a treat to the youngsters I suppose

I think you should just charge them the same price if its a good paying job.regular customer.just get your ladders off and stop being a tight arse!get them to make you a brew if their in.take an extra 10 mins and good for customer relations.

i agree with dazmond,  you get paid all year to keep them clean, so what if got an egg,  if you say no, they will cancel,  besides how many actually throw eggs

Im paid to clean my customers windows, if you start getting funny about an egg on the glass you'll be out on your ear.

Thanks for the replys lads, looks like the ladders are coming off then and just gettin on with it, i thought as much. Not lookin 4ward to it though, had a right nightmare with egg last year. cheers m

Part and parcel of window cleaning... You're paid to upkeep their windows regardless of what's on them, i.e. sellotape, paint spots, bird's muck etc. unless they really take the mick.

I cleaned the windows of one of my best customers last year and when I returned to collect payment the following day the downstairs window had been egged. I felt it was pretty unlucky for her so I offered to remove it there and then for free (ulterior motive being that it would be easier to clean whilst still 'fresh') but I'm sure that's stayed with her. 5 minutes of my time for a customer for a life-time...
