There have been stories in the paper about these not producing anywhere near the income that they are predicted to make. Some people say they are hardly getting anything and it revealed the companies are charging 4000% markup on what they get the panels for from China.So I think interest in them will fade quite quickly or prices will have to come down a lot before they catch on. They will eventually because its basically a good idea.
