Solar panel cleaning - anyone doing it?
« on: October 18, 2011, 09:56:31 am »
These things are going up everywhere.  Do I spend out even more money on kit and give it a try or stay well away!

All thoughts welcome!

One of our customers recently had them fitted, and asked the install company about maintenance and they said wfp was best.

They are mainly inaccessible and would require a 30ft plus pole, and you can't really see the results, so I have mixed feelings on taking them on at the minute.

Agree. They are high and can't always get the angle with limited space on the ground. Added to that how much is the custie prepared to pay?

was advised by a mate who works for a company
that installs them not to bother, cant remember exact details
but said there was something or other ;D at the top of
each panel that would be easy to damage and costly to replace
