Van signage help please
« on: October 16, 2011, 09:10:10 am »
i have decided that combo crew van is the one i need so last night i had a go at designing the signage for the van but im not sure if i need to put some text on there sayying " residential & commercial window cleaners " 99% of my work is domestic so i don't want people in the street to look at my van and think i only do commercial window cleaning.

is there anything on their you would change  ???

Would you put  " residential & commercial window cleaners "  on there or not  ???

thanks for you help erithwc

Looks good in my opinion says everything thats needed without saying too much, lots of vans have too much information, dont think you need to put residental or commercial just window cleaner covers both.

looks very professional geezer. and as ucky says not too much info on there. very smart. one side point tho, do you have someone answering home number all the time? or do you divert to mobile? often people don't like leaving messages, so having mobile number might help? give em a choice!

I think it looks great, as long as it says window cleaning, people will ask you if they need a window cleaner.

Where did you knock that up? Was it inkscape?

Looks spot on to me.  Just put 'Window Cleaning' on big, so people know what you do.

look very neat,

I would 100% move the website address to somewhere it will be seen, I know it is good to stick it on somewhere but make sure it is seen, so many fail at this point.

Think when you are parked in a car park, who will see it then ?

also think eye line, as people drive passed.

Like the colours  :)

I only have 'window cleaning services' on mine. It covers you for all areas then  ;)

only thing I would suggest is having the phone number larger if you can, and add a mobile if possible, and the website address, but on the whole very good.

I think in this order what you want to achieve is
1. what you do,(you have covered this well)
2. how to contact you (nearly there)
3. your business name (that is covered well)
nothing else much really matters

It looks like clear magics van signage for a good reason  ;) ;) ;)

I see a picture of his combo van on facebook and liked it   ;D ;D ;D ;D

The software i used was inkscape and found the combo outline on the net.

AS Window Cleaning - the landline number is a virtual number that goes straight to my mobile  ;)

Thanks for the feedback :) :)
