Kirby machine advice!!
« on: October 14, 2011, 07:57:29 pm »
I have never used a Kirby before but have been looking at them on ebay.
If these are great vacs and have an albeit mickey mouse carpet attachment, could say a g4 be used as an agitator?

Tight on space in van, would this be a dual purpose back up vac and agitator?
Obviously I know it wont have contra rotating brushes like the duo but all the same...
Just a thought

kirby's are big and heavy and not designed for agitatin

I would stick with the sebo duo, light and designed for the job.

just my thoughts

Big and heavy? Are you a 9st weakling? I have 2 machines now! Latest one is a G7 and is absolutely phenomenal!

Kirby's are great vacuums and cheap on ebay second hand, great for commercial and beating rugs. They are heavy compared to most others but not that bad.

You can't however use it for agitation, get a sebo or Oreck orbiter, they don't take up much room. The Oreck XL is a powerful light vacuum cleaner I have in the van for emergencies.

It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

I love vacuuming the tops of rugs then vacuuming the backs while the customer watches. When you reveal what has come out there are audible gasps of disbelief.

Hector I find your lack of faith disturbing! Your Mrs needs to learn the force haha
