Seat pads only?  Seat pad and single sided back pad?  Or Seat pad and double sided back pad?

They might not have wanted the work.  I'd charge that for domestic dining chairs fully upholstered, but as part of a bigger job

Big volumes of commercial seating you need to be between £2.50 and £4.00 to be competitive, but so many variables involved it's difficult to say, there isn't a one size fits all.

Just a thought..... Subtract from the £350 the cost of hiring that machine, the chems and all your other costs and you might have been able to make similar profit from subbing in a truckmount operator to whizz through it, and put 20% on top of his invoice ;)

Hire a Karcher around £25.00 for the day, chems come with it for £5.00 extra, lets say £5.00 in Fuel and parking was probably free in the hotel, food another £10.00 for the day. So looks like a £300.00 profit on the day, done quarterly thats £1200.00 profit for the work + any other work they want doing as a spin off from good, prompt service, sounds good from here.

CD's prices are all over the place.
When things were quiet I've lost out to one when pricing really low, likewise when things picked up I've won the job when pricing quite high.
You would have thought being a national franchise their pricing would be somewhat standardised but it's clearly not.

As an additional issue I passed on a possible smoke damage job to someone off here who came back to me with the following prices given to the customer, by the big three CD, SM & Rainbow
£5k, £3k and £1k
