Hi gb, if possible I to would like to have a nosey at those documents if possible. As for the vote I think all 3 have there place a lot of it I think is down to luck you may talk to a company face to face and get nothing or you could just ring one up on the of.chance and you may offer a service that they've just decided a few days before hand that they need. I remember when I.first started out I got a 2k job when I nipped to McDonald's for a burger and a site forum was having his dinner sat in the carpark saw my van and asked for quote as it was a urgent clean that needed doing.

Hello GB,

Of the three, email canvassing is the one thats easiest to do - but possibly least effective as it will either not reach the right person or will be treated as spam. A few years back I did a fax campaign which was 100% unsucessfull >:(

I would use telephone canvassing as an opportunity to find out who is responsible for arranging window cleaning etc. then ask if they're available or ask to make an appointment

or, if you have their name, when passing you could call in and try and see if they're available or again make an appt.  The advantage of being on their premises is that you'll see closer up the condition of their windows etc

The hardest part of business to business sales is actually speaking to the right person, don't try and sell to everyone in the company.

Good luck,  Dave

p.s. if SAJ agrees can I have a gander at his documents pls

I think you can apply a mixture really, right time, right place, who you know, high volume calling.  Only thing with telesales is that you have damage limitation.  Its important that you follow things through to the end really.  As the gentleman said before, you have to speak to the decision maker, it may take a few calls but the lead is not dead
