Help with a quote
« on: October 07, 2011, 05:12:55 pm »
I've not really been looking for commercial work as domestic pays well, but I met someone who wants me to quote for this building.

On the front it's everything up to the second downpipe including the glazed section on the 1st floor. On the side it is the 5 windows top & bottom to the first downpipe.

I am going to quote on a monthly & two monthly outside only plus another quote for insides with outsides. It wasn't clear whether at the moment the cleaners do the insides from the bloke I met.

Any help appreciated.

i cant figure out exactly which bits you mean, but the windows look very straight forward and easey, i would price on the same basis as i do domestic, ik consider commercial work good coz usually i can do it in the rain etc not because i charge any more per window than domestic but thats just me. if you would charge a pound a pane etc, just count them up and do the same

It's all easy other than the glazed gable. It is made up of small panes of glass. Easy WFP on the outside, but a pain on inside. I have a price in mind, but I just wondered if my price was cheap/expensive/middle.

if i think ive got it right i would be 40 - 45 for the outs and 100 - 120 in and out if the porch bit is that tricky inside, very easy trad inside though the normal windows

£60:00 outsides hard to say about insides their will be a lot of walking through out  the building if its straight forward £90:00

Their is a fair few windows mate and i bet that extra large bay like window will probably take longer than you think , i would increase your outside price and reduce the inside price 3 X more for insides may be seen as a little high.  MIKE
