When I first started out last year I would offer the customers either a 'thorough frame clean' or just a wipe over of the frames. I've been a bit discouraged by the results when spending a long time trying to clean up their frames because the final results do not merit the effort. I've used all sorts of different stuff to clean them except for the one I keep reading about, Viro-Sol. I've since just decided to give them just the 'wipe over'.
The majority of my round was canvassed and, as they have waited for me to approach them, you can understand a lot of my customers have neglected their frames. Is it me or are they beyond restoring? I see websites of companies specialising in frame cleaning with a before and after picture. The before with the frames in an appalling state and the after looking like new frames have been installed! What am I doing wrong? I can't be the only one with this problem, surely?
