How to keep cool in the heat
« on: September 30, 2011, 06:54:01 am »
I don't know about you but I find this heat unbearable.  How can I keep cooler in this weather, and also important, how can I stop spotting in this weather?  Is it a good idea to chill the pure water before it gets to the glass?

When its this hot you need to rinse more.

I find walking through he mist from fan jets very refreshing ;D

Start early and finish early!douse yourself with the pole and sit in the shade for 5 mins every so often with a cold drink!oh and take a few bananas with you for energy!works for me!don't forget a bit of suncream as well.

I'm only working a half day today as I've had a good week.2 hours collecting this evening on my estate stuff.happy days at the mo.enjoy it while it lasts lads!

Best wishes

I used to work in really hot conditions, the medical advice was to avoid tea, coffee or anything else containing caffeine, eat raisins, drink more water than you think you need (without being daft obviously). Also your body starts to produce a chemical which helps with the heat, but not until you've been in the heat for about 4 days, which I know isn't much help. Basically be sensible I found it does get easier the longer it goes on.
