Have to agree, how much advertising have you seen for 118247? Also if you needed a plumber or whatever right now, would you even think to call 118247.
There are a few of these along the same lines and I haven't heard of anyone who has a good thing to say about them. Most claim to get hundreds of calls a month asking for your particular service in your area, you'd be lucky to get a few calls a year from them.
Naaa, don't bother.
Also don't use Excell as your telephone provider, but thats another story!!! :'(

I am convinced the reps walk in and offer you the biggest advert and then work down from that, this approach will get the YP the biggest add from that particular client (if that makes sense).

118 247, is definately a NO!
Had it 2 years, cant recall anything from it.

Dont bother with full colour either, just concentrate on the wording and being either front or back of the section.

As John says, dont believe all the crap they come out with, statistics and all that.

RE: 118247.
Last yr i took the plunge, to cut a long story short. it didnt seem to work for me, so on 8 occasions, i called 118247, each time i called i got given 4 no,s, 32 no,s in total, only 27 c/c on the list for my area, and my no wasn,t given out once!

I called yellow pages to canncel, and was told i couldnt!
The conversation with them was very one sided, they didnt seem interested in any thing i had to say, wouldnt let me cancel.

The only way to enforce this from my side, was to cancel the direct debit, and tell them to take it further.
