TM users with glides-pre vac?
« on: September 24, 2011, 06:46:03 pm »
Hello guys, if you're using a glide Does it cause problems if your not going to pre vac?, ie will it be likely to get clogged.
Reason I ask I'm gonna try the glide and at the same time may not pre vac depending on the job......

Thanks in advance

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!

you would probably get away with not vaccing without the glide on but it wont work aswell with the glide on the holes on it are too small to vac anything up other then water

get a slotted glide rather than holes or a combo. If there is a lot of debris you will find it quicker to hoover anyway, but generally with a slotted glide no probs.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

With a slotted glide, a bit of fluff and small debris is no problem (presuming you agitate to lift it out of the pile).  Any bigger debris needs a quick vac before pre-spray, otherwise you'll be chasing the bits all round the room and it'll bug the hell out of you :)

p.s. get that van floor waterproofed!!

Personally I think my wonderwand is fantastic on domestic jobs, not so good on pubs etc as it uses so much water so quickly, maybe it's the jets I use though, have to admit I could do to learn a bit more about jet sizes etc

Yes

I Have the two and three jet wands depending on job/machine that I’m using.

Think someone from Sheffield raved on and on about glides, glad I took a rubber mallet along with me ;D ;)
