Tuesday lunchtime had a call from an elderly lady with a sheltered flat in a block, her carpet cleaner had let her down because "his machine had broken" so I went round to quote. I quoted her £130 for her settee and carpets. She told me it was not enough, the other guy quoted £160 so she would pay me £160.
Did the job this morning, she insisted I take the £160.
Whilst I was working two other ladies in the block asked me to look at theirs when I was finished. I have booked two more jobs as a result for £215 in total for the same day next week.
Nice timing, had been a bit thin in the diary!
