KRS80 battery and pump pack
« on: September 22, 2011, 05:46:02 am »
stay away arrived yesterday without pump so lost a days work and after checking all the bits over non of the fittings supplied will connect to a standard hose reel,         so if i decided to keep it i will have to spend more money buying loads of different fittings to connect to hose reel ,      ordered it last friday as well lost so much work as i have now sold my trolley .   really wished i had bought a professional battery and pump box from a WFP supplier.   MIKE

had trolley over 3 yrs . 1st battery packed up a year ago 2nd just gone but PF are not fitting the same deep cycle batteries as they did years ago . i got a battery from toolstation and just needed to fit some spade terminals on end of wires ,   the batteries are  alot cheaper than every where else . will let you have an update later.  MIKE

so far so good ,  pump has a good flow rate even through 100 mtrs of microbore .     I did'nt have it on full flow either.       i managed without a microbore fitting what i did was use a male  hozelock pole connector , and put that into the hose from the pump,      I then cut a short piece of garden hose and fitted hozelock water stop ends to each end .    Which enabled me to connect to the pump hose and then to my hose reel.

The hose from the pump to the hose reel  is about 2 mtrs long so long enough to put hose reel out of pickup and on the floor.

on the case of the unit is a volt meter so when the battery does start to  run low you will be able to see clearly that it needs a charge.

Also in order to charge the battery you will have to either run an extension out to your van    or in order to take it in the house and charge

Also was getting a very tiny drip from pump but all seems fine for now will see how things go

UPDATE   , After using for 2 days now

I first used the pump on number 3 on the analouge controller which is a good high flow pressure but have sinced turned it down to 2 and i have been working up to 35 ft with no flow probs ,   Although i do have 1mm pencil jets fitted to my brush .
