Hi, does wfp make you more money than trad or is it just that it's easier to work with and much cleaner. Also how can you scrub down the sills and bird spots on high windows when 1. you cant physically see what you are doing and 2. elbow grease is required on the spots to remove. I am trad but wondering if wfp makes a better job of cleaning and not just because of the obvious technology ?

yes you defo earn more money as you ll pick up more work,be faster and safer.it takes a few months to get used to the new method.im flying after 16 months wfp.go straight for van mount.dont mess about with trolley or backpacks.

buy a decent carbon fibre pole like a 25ft SLX as well.

i was trad for 16 years.wfp is just a fantastic tool for most window cleaning jobs.do it!!you wont regret it!!

as for bird muck give it a soak first if it wont come off right away.do a few more windows then come back to it.if it still doesnt come off i use the edge of the brush and that gets it off.sills just scrub and rinse and clean as best you can.i never get any complaints!!

I too am seriously thinking of going WFP mainly to save time.
However having read some old posts about speed etc i'm not so sure.
Read one that said they do about 15 to 20 average size houses, by this i mean 3 bed semis a day.
Now i know all houses are different and have issues with access etc but i can comfortably do this trad.
I kept track the other day and i did 15 between 8am and 1pm.
Admittedly i walked to them all but they weren't all next door to each other.
If i do it i'll get a backpack to start with but i'm not sure it would be quicker if i had to keep filling it.
Alternatively if i had a van mount i would have had to move it for every job so that takes time.
I hope i'm wrong on this.

I bought tolley system for 3 story work which was a pain by ladder now easy with  wfp plus those awkward window over slate roof  were  windows  had to be footed,if going to buy dornt   get a crap pole get gardiners pole they the best

i have to say that i was one of the worst critics wfp until my mate took me out one sat morning  i had a go on a few awkward houses to se i would cope brill the monday booked for a van mount system so much to say it saved so much time got loads more work and still get home before 4pm ive since got a back pack shaves a bit more time of a few jobs that have got gardenes like a obsticle course MY ADVISE IS GET ONE

I will state the obvious here...DEPENDS ON THE PRICE I.E. a trad round at fantastic prices will beat a poorly priced wfp round. BUT IF DOING THE SAME WORK in a fair test WFP will be quicker thus earning more per hour

I rekon it is about 40 to 50% quicker once all 1st cleans done and used to it

I DONT THINK SO DAVID, THE GARDINER EXTREME BRUSHES HAVE BUILT IN SCRAPER BASICALLY JUST A CHISELLED EDGE OF THE BRUSH BODY. IM PRETTY SURE IT WOULDNT BE THERE IF YOU COULD SCRATCH THE GLASS WITH IT.

i used a plastic freezer scraper once to get some bird muck of and is scratched the glass big time id never trust a plastic scraper again
