VYAIR REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS
« on: September 21, 2011, 03:15:25 pm »
Hi all, just wanted to say a heartfelt thankyou to Phil at Vyair.  We ordered a 400gpd a few weeks ago - all went well, delivery was quick and trouble free and installation was a doddle.

After a  couple of weeks the unit started cutting in and out and production dropped to almost nil.  Phil suggested a problem with high or low pressure switches and sent replacements the same day.  Tried those - no improvement.  Phil sent a complete replacement unit.  Fitted that - a bit better but soon started playing up, plus TDS was a paltry 34ppm.

Phil then sent a 600gpd system - worked better, ran at about 230 US gallons per day and TDS was down to 015 after about 12 hours running.

Spoke to Phil again who told me he had contacted the manufacturer who said the problem was with our water supply - I fitted a guage and the pressure was about 30psi at the mains.  Apparently although the booster pumps (2) will increase the pressure they can't draw more water from the supply so the problem was in the rate of supply through the mains.

In spite of it being no fault of theirs, plus they had incurred a lot of expense in shipping costs and the 600gpd was nearly twice what we had paid for the 400, Phil refused my offer to make up the difference and said we were to keep the 600 :o  All he asked was that if I wanted I should make a donation to charity on his behalf, and please would I send his two 400gpd's back? (Again at his expense)

Now I challenge anyone to better that!!

Thank you Phil, the best customer service I have ever had ;)

It would appear that their after sales service is excellent, but I ask why they are having so many problems with the R/O in the first place. They aren't that complicated.

I think I would prefer an excellent product and not so good after sales service if I had the choice.

They eventually credited a faulty R/O they supplied to a mate of mine and he replaced it with a 40/40 with no problems since.
