I had purolite, which apparently is the worst resin, so I got tulsion 115, but it also doesn't seem to be lasting long, I did read somewhere that certain types of water need different resin.

Dowex is supposed to be good that's what I am going for next.

I have been buying tulsion mb 115 by the half bags and I to feel its not lasting a week or two. It start climbing the first week MY R O is always 19 TBS. I am just thinking if these half bags are not recycled OR EVEN TULSION IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I have also found that tulson MB115 is not lasting as long as it used too. I asked my mate another WC round the corner and he said the same...
I wonder if it is just coincedence or if they are not producing the same quality.

Just refilled my 11l itre Di unit with Tulsion Mb115 and checked output at 0TDS.
Checked it after I've filled my 400 litre tank and it's reading 001TDS.
Leaky riser in the Di unit?

How fast are you flowing water through the vessel?

You should really fill tank with tap water & pump though the DI on van for the best resin economy.

Resin volume Vs flow rate are two very important factors here.

In my 6 years ive used these in this order .

Purolite ....ok
dowex ......great
alex g .......undecided , brand not known !
tulsion 111.....best by far

But as Winpro says flow is the key factor for the life of resin , anybody that knows of me or my older posts will know that i have done a lot of messing around in this department !

i used purolite for years, until tulsion came along, there is no doubts about it, tulsion last at least  5 months longer,

Sorry to be thick, but when say 'flow' do you mean run the water thru slower or quicker or what...

Slow gravity feed through the static tank on this occasion.
Faster fill through tap last time.
Result: The Same.

run the water through the tap to DI slower.youll make the most of the resin then.common sense really.
price higher/work harder!

tulsion 115 last a lot longer than 111. Does depend where you are.
