battery went on PF trolley , fitted new battery now the flow controller is not working really puzzled anybody got any ideas

found out the problem is with the flow controller blowing fuses for some reason , pump and battery working fine , rather than fitting new flow controller i am going to fit a dimmer light switch which should  regulate the flow ,   Rather than paying £80 plus for new controller , in the hope that this will work otherwise no work for 2 days .  Mike

If the control was working fine up to the battery change I am Puzzled as to why the fuse would now start to blow with a new battery. In the 1st Instance give Andrew a quick call.
It is possible the control has developed a fault but as it does not generate current it acts as a switch. it could be an issue with the pump.
What size battery and pump do you have on the trolley?

A dimmer light switch will not work,.. been tried before.

Good point Nat. There are many reasons why this will not work 1stly you are talking about a 220 - 240 VAC lighting switch and connecting to a 12 VDC supply.

How fast are the fuses blowing? Almost sounds like the battery is being connected in reverse.

i believe  everything was connected properly tried a few different things , in the end i got a mate to look at it he checked all the connections and said nothing was  wrong ,   he then put a new fuse a 10 amp this time and it started working , no probs since yesterday , mike

Mike Good that the Trolley is working as you would expect I am still puzzled as to what was blowing the fuse though Glad to Know all is ok. Let me know if you have any other issues with the control.
