Tried most gloves for the winter months. Best I had last year were the Joka Gloves, lasted all winter. Just started to split and tear at the end of winter.

I still have the furry insides and could order the outer glove.

Just wondering if anyone had found anything else.

I just bought some Merino wool linnings for £9 to go inside my Glacier Gloves, to match my merino wool vests from Marks and my merino wool snood, its wonderful breathable natural product thats a lot thinner than the polypropelene ones and my hands stay warmer.

I've just used some showa 377's after recommendations on this forum. Once I got started working and my habds warmed they were great. Maybe get some liners for extra warmth. Totally waterproof though and at £2.20 plus p&p from ebay, not a bad deal!

Hi Lee, I just bought some but they are bulkier and stiffer than my flexible neoprene Glaciers they are also no improvement on the warmth, so not using them.Thats why I quickly ordered better linnings.
With all gloves its important to get a good fit.

Hi jeff,  I don't like my hand getting sweaty and smelly and I have always found that neoprene gloves do this, the Youngstown ones are breathable and waterproof.

and are these gloves waterproof enough to be able to reach to get a blade at the bottom of a bucket as well?  ive had bad experiences with 'water proof' seal skins last winter
