hi
I had a call this morning for a one off clean, she said she only has her windows done a few times a year, I dont recon i will get the job sounds to me like shes looking to have it done for nothing but wil have a look anyway.
Do you charge abit more for one off cleans? as you know the first clean always takes alot more time esp if shes only having her windows done 2 times per year.
Some people hey

Hi Dean, it's up to you mate but I think most wc's charge around double the normal price. If they are minging I charge at least 2x if they aren't so bad 1.5x .

Yeah 2 x at least - depends on how dirty they are.
I have a customer who rings me when she wants them cleaning (she has them done 4 times a year) and i charge her £45.... she's happy with it and its an easy job for me

Phonecall last week.
I need my windows doing on my rental property - how much do you charge ??
well I would need to come around to take a look and discuss how often you want them doing then I can give you a price.
Cant you just do them and put bill thru letterbox - its the same size as my own house and my window cleaner charges me £12 for that one and only want it doing once as its getting rented out next week.
I see so its just a one off then Mr Jones - sorry dont do 1 offs but if I did it would be at least £36
WHAT .... HOW CAN YOU CHARGE THAT
? (very aggressive)
well there going to be minging and it will take longer than normal (knew it was going nowhere at this point) and threw in for good measure "I charge that cos I can" do you want them doing or not ??

Do it but definitely charge your hourly rate otherwise it's hard graft for little reward. The only flip is it could be an area you'd like to get work in and hopefully you may get spotted. If you have an established round one-offs aren't gonna be in your interest... I would say getting on for x3 normal price...
