How much would you/do you pay to have flyers, business cards, letter heads etc. designed?

I've used vistaprint.co.uk a few times, they have a set of templates you can use that are...OK.
Or some printers will design them for a smallish fee if you know what you want.

But if you want someone to come up with the whole concept then I don't know how much that would cost.
I made my own letterhead on word, always looked fine, you can set it as a header
A manager is generally someone who has been promoted to the position by someone else who didn't see them as a threat.
Hence all people are promoted to the level of their incompetence

In the current climate you should be able to find a printer who will do the design for free on a reasonable order size, some have a £50 design and set up charge.

We use our local printing.com shop and they do it for free

i find vistaprint an absolute joke.  ive uploaded designs before, and they look great on the screen, but when the cards come  and they consistently get the borders on the cards wrong every time, but in different ways.  i finally got a response to them and they explained that 'they have trouble with borders close to the edge'.  Now what sort of multinational printing company has machines that struggles with printing borders close to the edge, and secondly have absolutely no quality control measures to stop these mistakes being sent out.  I now use local companies that actual care about what they produce

tried local printer with good reputation got some invoice pads done a while back now and he was great got them done in 2 days ,      went in about 10 wks ago he said he would ring me when they were ready after 2 wks i needed them , he had gone off on holiday and closed shop. so had to design my own invoices still waiting for his phone call .

As for vistaprint i only use their designs and have never had any problems
