http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/500g-Sodium-Metabisulphite-food-grade-high-purity-/320732894619?pt=UK_BOI_Medical_Lab_Equipment_Lab_Supplies_ET&hash=item4aad2b959b#ht_3526wt_1139

That's the one. Just to warn you, it STINKS! It's like a 100 stray dogs took turns peeing on your carpet, not pleasant!

In the listing on ebay it says:
Sodium metabisulfite exists in both food-grade and non-food-grade forms. The non-food-grade form is an industrial bleaching and reducing agent; it is also used to remove excess chlorine from drinking water and as a photographic developing and fixing bath agent.
Pure-domestic-chemistry are offering food grade so it would appear from this it is not the real mccoy - is there a chemist in da house...
no not presently but I have a feeling one will be along shortly

Hi guys
Food grade will be more pure which won't make any difference to us but will be more expensive.
remember adding citric acid will speed up reaction.
Cheers
