Website....Thomson Local
« on: September 07, 2011, 07:47:06 pm »
just put my website on 'free listing' on Thomson Local, then got the usual sales rep call me trying to sell me a 'featured listing' @ £250+vat for a year.
then was chatting to a caterer custy who uses featured listing and thinks it worth the money.

Does anybody on here pay for this from Thomson Local ? and if so how many leads, jobs ect do you find your getting from them? Is it worth the outlay?

Cheers Guys

Goochie.

the easiet way to get custys is knocking,  sure some will phone yellow pages, google  etc  but most is knocking,  a lot of advertising is a waste of time for window cleaners,

totally agree with above post, but I am very quiet at the mo so need to try and build up business in every way I can.
Door knocking, leaflets and websites, internet ect.
I tend to think that domestic always come with door knocking but most of new commercial work comes in through the internet.
