Which is the best portable on the market today and why?

Just wondering which is the one to go for and interested in your opinions on the subject.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

You only really need to see the Jaguar/Storm thread to realise that nobody could possibly give a definitive answer as to what is the best portable.

We all have our favourites I suppose. But like with everything else (cars, mobile phones, etc etc) when you see certain carpet cleaning machines coming up for sale time and time again, alarm bells should ring.... ;)

If I was starting agian today I would still go for a 135psi Ninja. It's built like a tank, you can heat the water up proper and fairly idiot proof.  :)

Its not the machine that is key, its the person using it.

The 135psi Ninja was my first machine it when i started a couple of years ago, the machine is ok but my Airflex is considerably more powerful and i use a magma inline heater if i want some heat, the thing that lets the Ninja down and i know its been covered many time before is the  service with the Ninja i lost all trust in them to carry out repairs and suspected they were doing stuff that was unnecessary, i was new to carpet cleaning and naive. i also agree that the machine does not guarantee a good job the operator does, but a powerful machine can make life easier.

If you can't beat them, join them. A buffer, the right chems and a spotting machine could be a good start up option, has to be the cheapest start up and running costs. Can't believe I just said that.  :-[ Spend any left over on marketing

I think it depends on what you want the machine to do if you leave it on the van then storm, jag, turdo or scorpion if you need to clean flats with no lift airflex mini
