Stiff everything there was 24 of them uprights, cleaning the back of them was a strain on every part of the body.
It wasnt as easy it as it looked it took loads of concentration just preventing the pole slipping off the pole. made even worse with the wind gusting
the pole was a supalite 36 ft

looked like it would have been worth making a V shaped brushhead ,ie cut a brush in half and screw a flat plate of alloy onto the back and bend it so the brush forms a V

If i agree to take the job on a bank holiday weekend without asking my lads if they can work, please shoot me.
I was reckoning on 4 staff doing that job, instead me, my wife and my son had to do it over 3 days and I am flipping whacked

You need a telescopic pole for that - save all that walking backwards and forwards and silly angles.
God it was boring - I couldn't watch it all.

How on earth do you price the cleans of a pole...?!
I know for a fact I would have underestimated, and underpriced that by a mile knowing me!

Pole to Pole with David Morris! Yep, boring! Although I love those moments when you lose control of the pole, glad it isn't just me, feels like the pole is having a mild epileptic fit, gets you every time don't it.
The good thing about doing jobs like that is none of us would really have a clue how to estimate the price so you can be sure the client would have no idea either, so you couldn't lose on that score.
Mind you, I would have thought that with all you must be earning now Mr Seagull you could afford a pair of trousers that fitted!
All the best to you and yours

It takes longer with telescopic tried it, far easier walking backwards, could, easily get 10ft done at a time.
PJ. The trousers fitted on day 1, this was end of day 3.
if you think it was boring watching it , it was even more boring cleaning it. I didnt even film the last 12 ft being cleaned that took an extra 10 minutes for each pole.
Hi Cozy, thanks I agree.
