A year or so ago someone posted about a debt collecting agency somewhere on the south coast that would buy relatively small debts.

Anyone remember who they were?

I had a clear out in my in tray and shredded the address

Anyone know of any agencies that will buy small (up to £1,500) debts?

3 debt collecting agencies took over my debts to bank and credit cards that I owed them,  they bought the debts of the banks and credit cards and then chased me fpr payment making every threat under the sun.

that was 5 years ago and they didn't get a penny of me then and they wont now as being a scouser I know that they have no power what so ever but I must thank them for buying nearly 80 grands worth of bebts 




Ian  I know this is of no interst to your topic but just had to let everyone know that these evil ( yes evil )  bar stewards will try and persicute anyone for money.

as the saying goes...  if the loan or card is not sucured then you dont have to pay it back

most debt recovery firms are not baliffs so the threats of them coming to see you are bull.
secondly you did not borrow from them so how are they entitled to money from you. ask for the original signed crebit agreement most time they cant supply it and never admit the debt.

debt recovery firms are just crooks themselves who try anything to get money out of vunerable people,   they try tactics like the baliffs will come which is a pack of lies to scare people.

they tried with me but I just use to laugh at them on the phone,  when they persisted to call several times a day I gave them a final untamatum,  stop calling me or I wouild get very offensive to the person calling me.   and heres the best bit,  they told me if I did they would call the police as they recorded the phone calls.

thst fine I said and I welcomed them to do call the police but reminded them that it was them calling ME and me being abusive not me CALLING them

for some reason they stopped calling me



they aslo told me I wouldn't be able to get credit again which is partly true but only for 6 years and then I clear my dredit file,  in fact Ive already got 2 new credit cards

Errm...

Thanks for the input, but the debts I'm referring to are for services rendered, not borrowed money.

I have invoices showing all details of services provided and all money owing in respect of them.

Don't really want to go down the Small Claims Court route, so need to know if anyone remembers who it was who posted about the agency they used - I contacted the agency at the time and they were prepared to make an offer for a debt I had outstanding, but the debtor paid up when I told him.

Now I need their services again, but can't find their details.
