Discuss!  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25-Reach-iT-CARBON-FIBRE-water-fed-pole-NEW-UK-/170687917443?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item27bdcaed83

SEVEN SECTIONS!! :o :o :o

I wonder what actual length is?

It's a shame as I can't see this as a step forward for us. The two points above plus huge clamp bodies & for not that much more you can have the best. :-\

They all look the same as Elite poles to me,.. I'd guess they all brought from the same supplier & just re-branded.

Elite have the reputation for customer service, so if they're the same poles at the same price I wouldn't be buying the one off ebay!!

Just noticed these too...  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50FT-3-4KG-HIGH-MODULUS-CARBON-FIBER-WATER-FED-POLE-/230665437454?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item35b4bb410e

We have been using one of the 25ft Vertigo poles about 6 weeks now, and it is a very good ridged pole. They extend really easily, and they have a good positive clamp action. They also have shrink wrap on the base section to avoid electrocution.

They are also made from a high modulus carbon fibre.

They are extremely good value for the money.

How is it better than your SLX?

And what are the clamps like?  Do you need an allen key to tighten them up?

is slightly more rigid . the slight weight difference you will not notice . the clamps are solid no glue . if you need a slight adjustment the allen key is not an issue . i carry it in my pocket but so far ive hardly used it  . plus there cheaper . but that was not the reason i opted for one , just a bonus . if the slx came down to the same price .it would still be the elite all day long .     dont want the gardiners fan club putting out an hit on me . they are still good poles . but i have defo used the best 25 foot pole on the market

How long have you used it, Barry.  One thing I've noticed is that I can buy a bit of kit, it works great for two weeks, and then starts deteriorating quickly.

I'm just wondering how it wears?

Don't look a bad pole... Wouldn't mind a upgrade from clx22 but still think I'd get slx25

only had it 2 months use it all day every day , all my work under 25 foot . so far so good . seem to remember when i got my slx had to glue a clamp after 2-3 weeks . couldnt justify paying top dollar for another slx . so thought i would try the cheaper route and got a clx . quite happy with that to start with but thats now my emergency pole . hopefully wont need it again . but we could do with someone giving us there views on the elite whos had it longer than me . but after 2 months its in better shape than the slx was

Top dollar? ;D ;D

For the massive sum of £25 extra you could buy a longer, lighter, shorter closed length pole with a narrower base diameter! ;D ;D

I've just bought another SLX-25, lets hope I get another 4 years of daily abuse out of it like my first SLX! :D

You wouldn't get me over 35ft with anything other than the Xtreme though now.
