Champ leaking

Brand new 4040 champ and new memrane, put it all together both ends hissing out with water, both ends are pushed in enough so that clips go on. Am i doing something wrong!!!!
Anyone help

Have you put the rubber o'rings? The go between the housing and the end plugs.

Do you mean the one's inside the end bits that slot over the membrane? If so yes they were already on there.

there is a recess on the the outer lip of the end plug that you fit the seal to, the rubber seal is about 4" in diameter.
