Usually instantly. Did you apply it hot? put it down heavly? dilute it right?

The odour goes away after extraction. Or use a deoderisor like NI-712

ash   ,   depends on what sort of stain it is.   it does work very well in some situations great on red wine stains .

i used it the other day (spray and go chemspec ) on a stain caused by a scent oil which was spilt and caused a large yellow stain on a 100 % wool carpet.

this product does stink and always warn customers of this and be carefull as this is a dye reducer product so be carefull where you use it .

Even after you've extracted it still smells for a while.
Goes away though.

I know it's not ideal, but tried it on an old urine stain (as same stain was at a customers house this afternoon).
After thoroughly flushing it made it better, but the damage was too far gone to make it anywhere near perfect.
And yes, it still smelt after flushing out.

ash    you will get no joy with sod met  on urine stains as most urine that has not been removed causes a bleaching effect .  sod met is used as a reducer product for dye stains.

to get success on stains first you need to understand what the stain makeup is then the correct approach and product can be used .

Yes, I know it was the wrong product but it was a bit of kill or cure to be honest, and I thought why not have a try to see if the lighting would have any effect.
The pic attached shows the outcome, like I said, not great but better than it was (baring it mind how old the stain was).
