hi
i am looking at getting longer hoses. can somebody tell me the ideal length for working from the van.
i was thinking 100 feet but would 50 be enough. i was trying to map it in my head, 30 feet get of he drive then 20 to upstairs and 20 into the rooms. is that about right.
whats the cheapest place for it.
cheers

Just get two 50's.
I think you'll need atleast 100ft most of the times if working from the van.
You can get it from here:

if you can pull onto the drive to the front door then 50ft will get a normal semi, from the rd 75ft should get it,
anything bigger than a 3 bed the you need an extra 25ft.
so 2 x 50fts and a 1 x 25ft will get 95% of jobs but always have an extra 100ft length tucked under the seat for those parked across the green moments

You can join the two 50ft hoses up. i.e. 100ft.

Another handy tip Joe H suggested is to cut one of your 50's into a 15' & 35' length. Gives you many more combinations, ie 65'/85' etc. Just need a few end cuffs and joiners. If you're using a tripple I was advised by Cleansmart not to use 2" under 50', something to do with airflow. 1.5" is fine.

That's because you only clean for poor folk who live in huts or tents, you could reach all the carpets with your wand without stepping inside

Maybe try and use a 1 and half inche whip hose at the wand end if your running 2" hose as its a bit easier in tight spaces ie small bedrooms..

i have 200ft on the reel but most domestic jobs its oly 100ft . all hoses in 50 ft lengths . get some cool cuffs makes snapping down hose s a doddle instead of using the rubbish standard barb connectors you get the cuffs from hydramaster expensive but well worth it

Tony those are imitation cool cuffs. The guy who makes the originals slates them (obviously) saying they fail after only a short time.
Stands to reason, being so cheap.
