Having recently cleaned a local school to me, there had been a burst pipe 1 year earlier. This left a watermark outside head teachers office.everything else came up well.
But watermark wont budge.

Synthetic glued carpet
on concrete floor, i have been told the concrete was not sealed before the carpet was laid.

Going back monday with browning prescription.

Any ideas appreaciated

i had this issue before and wasnt able to get the mark off. i think that one year on unsealed concrete may be too long, probably some chemical reaction (water + concrete).
if someone has a solution that would be briliant.

Paul. What was your method of cleaning ?,be interesting to know!!

bonnet will often remove or improve but myself as an avid user of encap , i get great results on this type of mark.

Had good results with this sort of thing with fibre shampoo with oxibrite added to it.

We have often been asked to clean water marks from water coolers that have broken and flooded typical commercial grade synthetic glued carpet,  and often times it has been impossible to remove what looks like an easy to clean mark,

After some investigation it seems that it is the glue that as been brought to the surface with the flood and then dried out again on the surface.

This could be the case and if it is its a lot harder to deal with than what first impressions suggest.

We have often bonneted the carpet with a solvent then cleaned in the normal way, but obviously you have to be careful using solvent on glued down carpets / tiles etc

Of course it could just be stubborn dirt

No results.

its a good idea to print this all and show it to customers with this problem that it is not cleanable

done a few water marks and had some good results but i'm not saying i could get yours out, sounds like youve had your best shot at it. the one on my gallery page was bonneted out after extraction with a dry pad after a dwell of split x.
