prochem uk are a bag of crap, my inline heater was tripping so took it in for a service, to see what the problem was find out a small airline crack in the casing, and guess what!!!! prochem said that it cannot be fixed there is nonew part for it so it has got to be binned what a waste of a few hundred quid will not buy from them ever again

Whats the casing made from.
My old Ninja has a 3Kw heat exchanger,
the original one, Aluminium body. I suffered
a hairline crack, and paid a local fabricators
£20 to cut a piece out and weld a new section in.
Still going strong 4 years later, although very rarely
used in that time.

Those prochem heaters are plastic I think but I've got 2 outside that have failed but the housings maybe of some use - contact me if you want them

The heat exchanger part of the product is metal, not sure on type, but you should be able to repair with welding or brazing. Taking it to your local fabricator should not cost a fortune. If the plastic casing is cracked, it will not affect the heater unless you are working in a monsoon, or dipping it into your solution tank.  I take it the warranty has run out.

yep has ran out, but will not give up were the is a will there is a way haha.

New update,was told that the crack is on the cylinder so will try to take it out still give it a go and see what happens thaks for youe messages.

On my 3rd in 7 years,current one split all the brass connector off where it inputs to the machine,the threaded part,got an engineer mate to make up another one for me,was also leaking slightly where the thermostats are,so undid the cover slightly so the water can drip out,instead of coming into contact with the power,that was last month,still working ok,touch wood

too much water comming out has tripped many times when your cleaning a c**** resturant lots of grease and oliy you need that heater ..
