Extracta are very well made machines but very dated with small water pumps and quite heavy IMO Alltec have far swisher machines more up to todays cleaning, I take my Truck Mount to Alltec for servicing and get very good service from there although my machine isn't bought from them.

Dean what you will find on this site is people usually put down Extracta is various ways having never used their machines before!! Have a look at my video to see what kind of results you can get using their gear...

Forget about 600psi pumps! I was using 50psi to clean this carpet. No prespray. 2 vac motors (which are both approx 3 years old now). They are workhorse machines. Solidly built of fibreglass that will last you 25 years plus+ If you look after them they will look after you.

Yes I get the odd niggle with them, who doesn't? But using a Scrubba with an Excel you will always get top results especially on heavily soiled carpets!

They are local to me so when something goes wrong I can nip it up and they can usually fix it while you wait.

Location of supplier is very handy although changing items should be one of your educations IMO, I've had 2 extractas the bx and the cx and they are robust but the added psi with Alltec or other machines makes it easier to clean with if you are using a wand, power wands add agitation so psi is not as necessary but can be awkward in domestic homes.

Extracta have never changed their machines in years, you have to ask yourself..... Why?

Extracta are successful and very popular and you'll see their machines at 20 years old plus, still earning their owners a pretty tidy living.

The reason they haven't changed much, is because they don't need to, why fix something that isn't broken....?

PS, The Scrubba Deluxe is an awesome bit of kit.... :)

I use an Excell its a good machine its got me started and touch wood never let me down.

You can do a great job with an Excell but Im yearning for a bit more oomph now and will be upgrading before the years out.

When is the "so called " new Extracta machine out ?.
John told me it was nearly ready some 10 years ago.

They do make probably the strongest mouldings there is but they do need to update some.

Also the wands /tools are prehistoric, although they do the job they leave a lot to be desired.
Personally  I prefer the Extracta look better than the Wheelie bin looking machines.

Ps you Exel owners, they are called Exel, not Excell !.

In my experiance Extracta as a company cannot be faulted, great customer service and really good hard wearing, hard working machines.

I'd happily recommend anybody to try them out.

Before opening this video, i knew what i was. Your certainly giving it some air time! I can see your proud of your 50 psi clean and good on you.
If i were to buy another portable, it would be an airflex turbo or the new one they have just brought out. They are easy to work on and are amazing machines imo  ;)

An Exel runs ideally at 100psi and with a Scrubba, extra psi actually hinders it's performance because the solution leaks out of the sides and you have to go faster, therefore the Scrubba isn't able do it's trick.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Scrubba's one awesome piece of kit.....

I've also got a scrubba deluxe, but find it's far quicker to use the wand. I can clean with the wand set at 250+ psi and have the carpet(s) almost dry before i leave. I keep the scrubber for extreme carpets and open spaces. The rotovac dhx and 360i / rx-20 are far superior.
