Hi, i'm new!!
I am thinking of adding carpet cleaning to my existing cleaning biz, the info on this site is great, thanks.
Just wondered if there are any lady carpet cleaners out there?

I won't be doing the actuall cleaning anyway, just everything eles.

The important part is getting the work in , talking to the customer, managing expectations and selling.

It is physically hard work cleaning carpets ,and I have seen very few female carpet cleaners, well none actually , I have seen a few wives helping husbands , but none actually leading out  doing the bulk of the physical labour.

It's a physical mucky job, sometimes unpleasant, but that's what you signed up to so just get on with it

This is actually the first forum I have ever joined (I usually just read the posts) any forum.
I only joined as you all seem so friendly.

I know its hard work, Iv'e been a cleaner for about 8 years. Now I have staff and just manage. Carpet cleaning will be new to us  and it will be my husband doing the manual bit now that he has a few days in the week spare......I'll cook his tea when he gets home though!

You're right though, most of us "girlies" assist with the work, if necessary I can use the equipment, but would prefer not to do the work by myself, although on occassion when we have double booked(!!!!!) I have done.
