i am moving over from trad to wfp and need some help/advice please........
i have a small van and was going to get a system to bolt into the van but the sales guys have said i might be better suited to a trolley ........not sure whether this is just them trying to sell me something which is not very good or not

does the one above seem like a good deal to you?

Are the water fed trolleys generally a good idea or do they have problems

Also i will need a 25 ft pole i think to reach 3rd storey, is it worth paying extra for the unger hi-flo or would the xtel fibre glass one be ok do you think?

Any help much appreciated as always

there was the base part of one of them on ebay yesterday, i think it was about £75 at the time

just found it, its been stripped. so not much use to you.

this may sound stupid but do i have to take the trolley out everywhere i go or could it be used as a static in the van with hoses?

It really boils down to your budget, doesn't it. If you've got only say £1000 to spend then the trolley is were you need to be.
If you live in a hard water area then make sure it comes with an RO unit which will save you on resin.

By pulling the trolley you'll only need a short hose connected to your trolley then to your pole and if you houses are fairly close to each other then it will be easy to pull around.
Fill spare containers but make sure they are tightly strapped in, you dont want one of those smacking your head when you have to brake hard 

If you've got more money then a small 300/400lt van mounted system would be better depending on your vans payload. Guessing its a small van!!!

Go straight for a van mount, you'll get one in the end,
Bigger the better,
It will do ya nut in doing all them first cleans, keep changing barrels.
Also get atleast a 300gpd ro with a booster pump

dont waste your time with a stupid trolley.....get a van mount system

maybe you should start with a backpack for a few months, that way you can get used to the ways of wfp and get the customers used to it to.

start with wfp tops and trad bottoms on the customers that you think would cancel and/or are funny customers.

a backpack will cost you £140 new and will always come in handy even after you have a van mount, where as a trolley may end up collecting dust.

remember it doesnt matter if the system you have is a top of the range one or a cheap diy job - its still the same results - clean windows - happy customers and you are a lot more safer than using ladders.

a van mount is a moust but doesnt have to be straight away mate.

you can shop arounf for some good bargians around, but never go cheap on a pole! always spend that little extra on a good pole and it will make you a lot of money and quickly!!

cant go wrong with a clx or slx from Gardiners pole system or if you cant wait for the gardiners poles as they are always out of sock then the elite pole aint a bad sub from waterfed.co

You can use the trolley and a 25 litre barrel (very rarely used)
or
plug it straight into the water tank (99% of the time used)

Using it as a trolley with a 25l barrel is a very good way to learn how to do the job properly using very little water.

I brought the same from window cleaninng warehouse about 2 years ago and it is excellent  i now  carry 12 25lt barrels strapped to the van with me and  use the trolley to control it and i still can use those  25lt barrels for those aqward jobs so you have the best of both worlds van mount and trolley AND YOU CAN USE YOUR VAN FOR OTHER THINGS

I went to Xline .co .uk , for my system ,, with the same idea as you , a small trolley system .

I went for a van system , 350 litre , 40` RO   , its been in a Kangoo  , and now in a Caddy .

100 metres of hose ,its served me really well .

I`m glad i was talked out of a trolley ,I spent more than i wanted to , but 2 years later , I can say i was given honest advice , and glad that i listened to it .

been using a backpack by itself for a couple years, im not fully wfp but today i thought sod it so i've got a £16 foldaway trolley from homebase bungeed my bpack to it & lo & behold it just fits in back of my estate still strapped up but with handle down so i can try out trolley work & see if i like it, i wont ever have a van mount as my rounds not compact & i dont like all that hose but if the trolley makes a lot of difference who knows, if not im only out £16
