ive always fancied getting one of those vans. then can have a union jack sticker on it somewhere / thats if they are really made in the U.K. ?

(IV a peugeot,still feel a bit of a traitor driving in  it, even  after 2 years )

if your van was mine,id paint those raised strips on the roof  in white to highlight them ,and bring attention to the ladder

looks ok what size is the tank? looks a bit small is it a 250l? i wouldnt have the ro in the van one frozen night and its damaged,

you need a bulkhead and a pole holder on the roof!

you have the wrong connector for your hose reel so no doubt it leaks you need the proper elbow one, fix the reel down in the back far better than lifting it in and out all the time apart from that good effort

350 same as me couldnt tell from the picture,

a bulkhead seperates the cab from the load area, and pole holder holds your poles

here is mine


i have fixed my reel down with some quick release clamps so can be taken out or left fixed down, good as i rarely take my reel out (less work) and stops it from moving around when driving.

the connection you need for the reel is this http://www.purefreedom.co.uk/brass-male-hose-connector-with-34-female-thread-swivel-elbow-p-387.html its allows the connection to spin round as your reel spins, using a normal hozelock connect will start leaking very quickly

oh yeah, asfor ro freezing i plan on using an electric heater and quilts in the winter, not sure how im gonna stop to hose to the van freezing though??? or the waste hose for that matter

why not just have a storage tank in a garage and then transfer the pure water accross into your van therefore removing the risk of water freezing overnight and damage to your ro? with what happened last winter water was freezing in the back of my van during the day not just at night,

plus its more weight for your van to carry extra wear and tear diesel etc not worth it IMO

my tank looks exacly the saem as yours! baffled 350lt   but mine is boted to the van floor in a steel cage and not strapped in!

im still not sure what benifit having a bulkhead seperation would give me? i dod have a metal grid one but i took it out!

yeah i could do with something like you have for a pole holder though!

that hose connection you linked looks good though! think i might get a brass one because yes, my plastic one leaks already!

i know what your saying but i dont have room in the garage to store anything

as for winter freezing i will have to give up working on freezing days i suppose  and keep the heater in the van on until im sure the temp is above freezing

trust me a bulkhead is a must!  security as well no one can see whats in the back and makes it harder for theives! not only for protection in an accident, you dont exactly want to be hit by hosereel in the back of your head! its also for the noise as well when i drive in my van its really quiet you can hardly hear the water sloshing in the back

i store my RO in the garage and at the moment carry it out to the van when filling, when it comes to winter i will find a way to get the hose under the door and into the van. or buy a transfer pump and more 25l containers.
