Need a Copy of a Contract
« on: July 22, 2011, 03:00:32 pm »
Hi Guys
I have a job in the offering and there is something about this company that I don't trust, so I would like to get them to sign a contract to cover all the work and paying on time ect....
I have never had to do this in the past and was just wondering if anyone has a 'standard' type contract that I could modify and use? or if anybody knows of any 'online' contracts that can be downloaded and modified I'd appreciate any links to such sites.

Many Thanks Guys
Goochie.

Due to the lack of response to this post would I be right to assume we all work without the protection of 'Written' contracts?
Do we all work with just spoken agreements?
very suprising results so far.....

I am going to get one writen up for commercial and domestic i will consult a solisitor and will make sure its reasonable more importantly make sure i can sue customers who take the p,

but yea alot of people do not use contracts in the meantime mate explain because you dont have a contrct in place the only way you can safe gaurd yourself is that they pay you 50% upfront ,something like that. ive said it before and it works if they dont like it then its your call , just be carefull cos people DO rip people off small amounts large amounts, happens all the time,

walk away, the contact wont make a bit of difference.
i can understand you getting some form of terms and conditions set out but the reality its harder to enforce and can be expensive

bobs kinda right , however give them the option of paying up front, 100% of 50%
