is that the black push quick release black fitting that goes in the pole ,that connects the pole hose and the gooseneck hose ;)

I use hot,
What i do is put an aquadapter hose strenghtner in the hose either side of the john guest connector.
This way it wont pull out

you need to put in a stint on the top of the pole hose(barbed on one sidesolid push fit on the other /or as i dont remove the gooseneck i was going to pull the pole hose through to the splitter at the brush ;)

i know i could fix it permantly but that would be defeating the object of having a quick release gooseneck

You need 2 of these, one goes on the pole hose, the other goes on the hose that goes through the gooseneck.

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/info_FIT_JG_8mm_6mm_BARB.html

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Metric_Fittings.html

then the both push into the john guest part,

I had the same problem during the hot weather over easter.

do you push the hose directly into thequick release,if you do order the stint from gardiners you can still release with this

I had the same problem with the standard PVC hose, I ordered some of aqua adapters pole hose to change the main length of hose and the small length within the gooseneck, it all works perfectly now no matter how hot the water. The aqua adapter hose is PU instead of PVC.
